Tammy Shepherd, IOM, GCCE
Former President / CEO of a twice recognized 5 Star Accredited Chamber by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Accomplishments in Nonprofit Management
Tammy Shepherd served as the President / CEO of the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce from 2010 - 2020 while also creating a Chamber Foundation, Political Action Committee, and Holdings Corporations during her tenure.
- Recognized twice as a 5 Star Accredited Chamber through the US Chamber of Commerce, one of only 128 in the nation in 2019.
- Growing the Chamber’s operational annual budget from $350,000 to $1,000,000 annually, quadrupling the staff, while meeting operating reserve standards.
- Chamber’s advocacy role led to the support and passage of the ESPLOST and TSPLOST twice along with direct communications with elected officials through Greater Augusta Day at the Capitol, CSRA Leadership trip to Washington, DC, and collaborative efforts for the growth of Fort Gordon.
- Opening of a Chamber branch office in Grovetown / Harlem area in 2020 to better serve the 1,000 members in the Greater Augusta area.
